The Commission for International Cooperation Youth Force of Italy organized the photo exhibition "Africa is told," an exhibition event on the African culture. The exhibition brings together 50 photographs of Angola, Egypt, South Africa, Algeria, Kenya, Mali and Tanzania. The photos were made by photographers selected by both Western and African students in Italy and the heads of the embassies. There will also be paintings and sculptures by George Lilanga, contemporary artist from Mali, called "Picasso of Africa."
The inauguration of the exhibition will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 18:00 at the Faculty of Communication Sciences at the University of Rome Sapienza, via Salaria 133. The event will be attended by representatives of the Embassies of Angola, Algeria, Egypt and Kenya. Admission is free. In the opening day, there will be a debate entitled 'Stereotypes on the continent, with assistance from the Hon. Jean Leonard Touadi, Archbishop of Lorens Leuzzi, Director of Campus Ministry and the prof. Mario Morcellini, Dean of the Faculty of Comunicazione.Al end with an aperitif African specialties.
